(she/her), founder of Shine the Light Counseling. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) and psychotherapist. I have lived in the Baltimore area for 9 years and am proud to be here.
I graduated with my master’s from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2017. After providing outpatient mental health therapy to children and adolescents in various settings, I decided to start my own practice. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, and other life stressors.
As a therapist, I use a mix of modalities that best fit the client. I believe that every person is unique, and therefore needs a unique approach to therapy. I believe it is important to not only talk and access our minds, but to also integrate the body into the therapeutic process. I draw from Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, Mindfulness, Play and Art Therapies, all grounded in a Client-Centered, Strengths-based perspective. I also infuse a social justice lens into my therapeutic practice.
I believe in creating a safe space for all. I am passionate about helping trauma survivors find healing. All are welcome to my practice without fear of judgment or criticism.
